The 17th Iraqi Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship was held on August 9, 2024, in the capital, Baghdad, Al-Doura City, in the sports hall of Gilgamesh University, before the end of the summer vacation. The temperature in Iraq in the summer is very high and the competitions were also hot and intense.
More than seventy players from the two governorates of Baghdad and Karbala participated in the competitions of different ages, including men, youth and children. The families of the children’s players were very happy with the competitions and described them as successfu. At the end of the competitions, medals and certificates were awarded to the winners
