The 1st Taiwan Fullcontact Karate Tournament was held in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, on 17th of July 2016.
This was the first tournament held by Taiwan Dojo since its opening in 2013, and in addition to 2 Shinkyokushinkai Dojos (Taipei Dojo and Taichu Dojo), other groups which are 2 Dojos from Taiwan and 1 Dojo from Hong Kong also participated in the tournament.
Although this tournament had an Adult Open Weight Category only, the tournament ended with a great success by participation of approximately 20 competitors.
Local media also introduced an article about this tournament.
It is expected that Full Contact Karate will be more recognized and understood in Taiwan in the future, where Full Contact Karate is not recognized enough yet.
