The 26th All Iranian Championship was held in Tehran on September 8-9, with a total of 700 competitors (in both Kata & Kumite) from 30 provinces.
This was the largest scale tournament ever held in Iran, was attended by representatives of the Sports Ministry and other Full Contact Karate organizations, and was broadcasted by the Iranian television network. This tournament served as a good opportunity to promote the presence and growth of WKO in Iran and the Middle East region.
