The 35th Spanish National Championship Shinkyokushinkai was held on March 7 (Sat.), in Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia) in the Southeast region of Spain.
Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Federation Kyokushinkai Spain, the event lived up to expectations.
With the participation of guest players from other national organizations, we had over 200 competitors in total.
Five hour morning session where Kata for Children, Cadets, Juniors and Senior, and Kumite for all Children and Junior were performed.
In the afternoon session, the bouts for the 75 competitors in the U-22 and Senior were conducted, reaching the semifinals, and performing test tameshiwari for Senior, and corresponding end of all categories.
A show that lasted 5 hours in the afternoon with a full house of sports and excellent environment of respect.
Based on the results of this event, we selected the Spanish Team for the European Championships in Poland, and will appoint two representatives for the World Championship in Tokyo (Japan).
A great championship again joins other organizations and demonstrates that Shinkyokushinkai is the best national organization structure, and ability to organize events and competitors.
