For the past 30 years, our federation, led by Shihan Rustamov, has been promoting shinkyokushin in Azerbaijan. Over all these years, we have achieved quite a lot of success in competitions and other events. We also actively participated in state-level events. Although we are not an Olympic sport, the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Azerbaijan evaluates us as we are a member of WADA. For services to Azerbaijani sports and the promotion of shinkyokushin Karate, the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Azerbaijan, by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, awarded Shikhan Rustamov the Order of Progress. This is one of the highest awards in the republic in the fields of sports, art, and science. We will continue to develop Shinkyokushinkai in Azerbaijan and the region as a whole.
