On Sunday April 7th, the Budo Cup was held at the Greenfield Park Dojo, in a very friendly atmosphere where the Shinkyokushin spirit could be felt and where respect and honour prevailed. We would like to point out that we were honoured by the presence of Sensei Christian Ouellet.
All the competitors demonstrated their skills and their technics in regular katas, elite katas and weapon katas. 115 karatekas, men, women and children of all ages, were present at the kata competition. The kata competition started at 8:00 a.m. with the youngest group, children of 4 to 7 years of age. At 10:00 a.m. the children of 8 to 12 years of age also demonstrated their talents with amazing katas and at 1:00 p.m. the adult portion of the competition started with very impressive katas. It was a long day, but a very memorable one filled with smiles and stories to be told.
Our goal was to ensure that this competition would be a memorable event for all the karatekas that participated in our tournament and we can proudly say that we achieved our goal.
Everyone is looking forward to our next competition 2020. Osu.
