The Hungarian Dream Cup 2017 International Championship was held in Budapest on October 6-7. A total of 430 competitors from 15 countries (Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine) participated in 45 Kumite and 11 Kata categories. The Hungarian competitors obtained more than half of the medals, but Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine also performed well. The event was attended and supported by WKO Vice President/EKO President Koen Scharrenberg, Branch Chief Furko Kalman, Branch Chief Michael Soderkvist (Tournament Head Judge), the Ministry of Defence, and other important figures and sectors, with a great atmosphere throughout the tournament and sayonara party.
