A Kata seminar was held at the Central Olympic Training Centre in Spala on April 22-24, led by the Japanese instructor Taishi Watanabe. The seminar, which was organized by the Polish Federation of Karate Shinkyokushinkai, was attended by 93 people.
During the 4 sessions, all Kata were presented in a masterful way. Participants had the opportunity to ask direct questions about the individual elements and fine details, which allowed to expand their knowledge and skills.
Also in 4 sessions, a referee seminar was led by the Referee Committee Chairman of the European Organization, Shihan Alexander Goncharenko of Ukraine. The course covered the organization of competitions, and theoretical and practical knowledge concerning the refereeing of Kata and Kumite. At the end of the course, the participants took a written test depending on the level of advancement (national/international license).
