On August 28-31, the Polish Shinkyokushin Summer Camp 2014 was held in Giżycko. Our special guest was Shihan Howard Collins 7 Dan, Masutatsu Oyama’s student and first non-Japanese fighter who completed the 100 kumite test. During the trainings he shared his knowledge with the participants and became an inspiration for many people.
During the examinations, he also proved to be a very strict teacher.
There were more than one hundred participants in the camp, including guests from Belarus. Shihan Remigiusz Karpiński and Sensei Wojciech Radziewicz watched over the course of the camp.
All technical trainings took place in the sports hall and were provided by Shihan Collins. The trainings included: basic kihon, kata, and kumite.
At the end of the seminar we had an examination for Kyu and Dan. In the committee sat Shihan Howard Collins, Shihan Remigiusz Karpiński, Shihan Mariusz Godoś, and Shihan Wiesław Gwizd. Among many, Sensei Tomasz Najduch passed the exam for 3 Dan and Łukasz Lemieszko for 2 Dan.
