On August 29, Limpopo Province WKO Shinkyokushinkai has launched a new dojo at Seshego Zone 5F, followed by a kyu grading to avoid holding another gathering due to the pandemic precautionary measures. The official opening of the dojo and kyu grading was attended by 35 students, mostly white belts. The event was attended by the community of Seshego and surroundings. It was a fun filled day and everyone was happy to see the children in their white karate suits. It was a great training day and a new exciting experience for the students to have spent the whole day training under Sensei Lechelele’s guidance. The students learned a lot from the instructors, the sessions included kihon, kata and kumite in line with the grading syllabus. The students were encouraged to continue training and practicing the kihon and katas to master the fundamentals of Shinkyokushinkai Karate.
The host, Kohai Benjamin Mamashela and Sempai Wilson Mogau Maremane of Seshego Zone 5 new dojo, expressed their gratitude to all participants and the stakeholders such as Mpholou holdings (Pty) Ltd, Alphanity Holdings Youth Fitness and Wellness Club, Community leaders and Seshego Zone 5 social group Hope for Ward 11 who sponsored the event and supported the children. With the support received from all stakeholders, the WKO Shinkyokushinkai believes the community of Seshego and surroundings will have better society and together we can eradicate crime and other related bad activities as more children commit to positive behavior through practicing Karate. Sensei Lechelele also expressed his words of gratitude for the invitation by Seshego Shinkyokushinkai Karate and the warm welcome he got from the leaders of the community and everyone involved and the support to spread Karate and grow WKO Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Limpopo province.
