Amarasinghe Branch Fighting Seminar 2024 organized by the WKO Sri Lanka – The School of Karate was successfully conducted on the 19th of October at the Club Fusion Indoor Stadium in Colombo.
We had the honor of hosting WKO Sri Lanka Branch Chiefs Sensei Thusitha Geeganage from Geeganage Dojo, Anuradhapura, and Sensei Indika Sanjeewa from Oyama Dojo, Anuradhapura, as special guest instructors.
Over 70 students from Amarasinghe Branch participated in the event.
The seminar began with a warm-up session followed by basic punching and kicking drills.
Our esteemed guest instructors then led an insightful session on kumite techniques, with demonstrations that showcased their expertise.
Students were given the opportunity to engage in paired kumite, applying the techniques they had learned. Later, advanced kumite techniques were demonstrated, with the students observing while seated in a circle.
At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their efforts.
