Today, April 29th 2015, in Moscow, in the Government House of the Russian Federation, the meeting
of the president of the World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai Mr. Kenji Midori and the co-chairman of the World Kyokushin Union, Vice Prime Minister of Russian Federation Mr. Yury Trutnev took place.
The two sides exchanged views on the state of development of Kyokushin karate as a full-contact style of karate in the world and the prospects of its promotion in the international Olympic movement.
The sides confirmed their intention to seek the inclusion of karate in the Olympics, based on 2 rules – the competition combats by non-contact rule and the competition combats by full-contact rule.
